Alone & Afraid

I sit here now alone and scared,
And wonder how?  
If only I dared... I could live this life, 
that is before me; 
Or should I just give in and set myself free?
The answers I search for I do not find;
Maybe they're trapped there within my mind.
When I do speak, there is no one to hear.
I'm alone in this place,
just me and my fear
